Lens Line Expansion
Parameters for SynergEyes Multifocal and the SynergEyes PS lenses have been expanded to allow practitioners to fit a wider range of patients.
The SynergEyes Multifocal, for presbyopic patients, is now available in sphere powers from +5.00D to -8.00D in 0.25D steps and -8.50D to -20.00D in 0.50D steps. Also, base curves of 7.0mm, 8.1mm and 8.2mm are now available.
The SynergEyes PS, for post-surgical patients, now comes in sphere powers from +6.00D to -8.00D in 0.25D steps and from -8.50D to -12.00D in 0.50D steps. It is now offered in base curves from 7.2mm to 9.0mm in 0.2mm steps.

Multifocal Lenses
The Renovation multifocal line, from Art Optical, has been expanded to include more designs and add powers. The Renovation E features back-surface eccentricity along with the front surface technology of the Renovation line to enhance the quality of near vision. Also, back toric, bitoric and front toric additions to both the Renovation and the Renovation E designs allow practitioners to fit patients with high with-the-rule and against-the-rule astigmatism. Lastly, the new HR 1.53 high-index gas-permeable material provides an increase of 16% to 23% in achievable add power generation, the company says.
Art Optical also offers the Thinsite 2, a gas-permeable lens that features a thin overall lens profile with increased oxygen transmissibility. Manufactured from Boston XO2 material, the lens is less prone to flexure due to a reduction in stress points.

The Anterior Segment and Retinal Camera Attachment, by Provizion, is designed to fit onto your existing Welch Allyn PanOptic Ophthalmoscope. This portable, device fits against the practitioners brow rest and takes images up to eight megapixels. No permanent fixtures are needed to install this camera. It features Carl Zeiss optics, and the software allows the options of automatic or manual focusing, time/date stamp, zoom, and hi-definition video. Tonometer
The FT-1000, from Tomey USA, is a tonometer that uses a very soft and silent air pulse.
