Astigmatism Correction

Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism, by Vistakon, is made of senofilcon A and features the proprietary Accelerated Stabilization Design and Hydraclear technology.

The lenses block more than 96% of UV-A rays and 99% of UV-B rays, the company says. It is available in an 8.6mm base curve and 14.5mm diameter.

From plano to -6.00D in 0.25D steps, this lens is offered with cylinder powers of -0.75D to -1.75D in -0.50D steps and axes from 10 to 180 in 10 steps. Or, this lens is offered with a cylinder of -2.25D and axes of 10, 20, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 160, 170 and 180.

A high minus lens is available between the powers of -6.50D and -9.00D in 0.50D steps, cylinder powers of -1.25D and -1.75D and axes of 10, 20, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 160, 170 and 180. Or, the high minus lens is available with a cylinder power of -2.25D and axes of 10, 20, 90, 160, 170 and 180.

A plus lens is available in powers from 0.25D to 0.60D in 0.25D steps and cylinder powers of -0.75D, -1.25D and -1.75D, with axes of 10, 20, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 160, 170 and 180.

Stereopsis Tests and Projector Slides

New Stereopsis Tests from Vision Assessment Corporation now include Lea symbols. And, monocular cues have been eliminated, which, the company claims, makes these tests more accurate when examining stereopsis. These tests are indicated for amblyopia and strabismus, and they evaluate gross to fine stereopsis for preschoolers through adults. Each test includes the adult and pediatric polarized viewer at no extra charge.

Vision Assessment Corporations Standard and Vectographic Projector Slides are designed for use in all manual chart projectors.
